Welcome to the World Federation Of Miniaturists
4th Worldwide Exhibition And Conference

The event is the 4th Worldwide exhibition of miniature paintings and sculptures. The exhibition will provide a rare opportunity for miniaturists, admirers and collectors of miniature art to view some of the very best miniature art from around the world.

The inaugural event was held in London in 1995, the second exhibition was held in the Hobart Town Hall in 2000 and the third exhibition was held in the Smithsonian Institution, Washington DC in 2004. The fourth exhibition is to be held in Burnie, on the north west coast of Australia's island state, Tasmania.

Tasmania is 'small and beautiful'. It is the most mountainous and the most forested of Australian states. It is famous for its scenery, clean air and water, fine foods, and also as Australia's cool-climate wine growing region. 40% of the State has been declared World Heritage.

'Small and beautiful', Tasmania is Australia's own 'miniature'.

Established as Australia's second colonial settlement, it retains much of its English heritage. Many of the towns resemble English villages.

Burnie (pop. 20,000) is a busy regional centre and main cargo sea port for the rich agricultural and mining industries to be found throughout the north and north west of the state. It is also home to the Burnie Regional Art Gallery and Civic Centre where our exhibition and 4th Worldwide Conference is to be held.
